The rising demand of biomass for energy, raw material, building material or mulch and litter opens an innovative business branch for farmers.

Growing Miscanthus is one of the most environment friendly methode to produce biomass.
It need less effort on work for landscape maintenance at minimal environmental burdon.

For plantation are used rhizomes of the plant, they are the energy storage in the root system.
It is usual to plant one vital rhizom on one square meter for vegetative multiplication.

We offer big sized first class, fresh and vital rhizomes, according to high quality standards
in order to guarantee optimal germination. This season we offer our rhizomes from five years old plantations locatet in Burgenland, (Eastern Austria) for special low price conditions:

Euro 0,16 down to Euro 0,12 per rhizom adjusted to requested amount.

Our rhizomes are well sorted and packed in 500 count bag for sale.

Tips und short information:

Our experience shows that size and vitality of rhizomes is form some of the prinzipal requirements for a fast and dense growing with minimal drop out. Our rhizomes shows six or more active buds
are sized between 10 and 20 cm and are ready sorted for planting.

Fast growing and reduction of dropout form the base for successful planting. Herefore similar importance is laid on size and vitality of rhizomes as well as on condition of the soil, climate and processing of cultivation.

As reported in the internet experimental planting of Miscanthus in combination with corn shall cause faster growing by shadowing additional herbs. We did not verify this method, but it sounds interesting. Another experiment contains the carbon capture in form of charcoal supported by miscanthus biomass, which by the way will support the soil enrichment (see "terra preta" in Wikipedia).
